The rampancy of my thoughts
I stop to collect
The message in a bottle
Sent to the sea of your soul, its depths
The latency of it is not
Because I don’t see your beauty yet
The flow of your waves in passion
I follow them in steps
The map to a heart is not so simple
Constantly we correct
And reject
Deliberating the effect
Rain on the ocean only sums to the motion
The ebb going out only comes back to flow in
Spirits rise as the soul returns
From the land it grabs unfirm
In itself it cannot learn of the messages it may yearn for
So, it reaches out into the distance
My glass bones crack as I sink to the ocean floor
Deep into the blue and out of existence
So vast, the lambda of moonlight does not reach this far
Without it my message becomes obscured and mars
The ink melting off my sinking heart
I call your name into the dark
As I wonder where you are
I don’t want to wake on the morning shore no more without you here
I run back into your shallows and yell hoping that you’ll hear
I swim back out to the horizon where the sun will disappear
Inside you again, I hold every bit of you to me near
No fear, I am ready to follow you there
My dear, someday I swear
I’ll be moving on
Carry me back to the shore till the feelings gone
And one day I won’t sleep, in dreams of drowning song
